Social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter, can be used by the person to commit the crime. Based on reports from news sites Phys, Tuesday (30/10/2012), reported that the number of children abducted and enslaved by someone known through Facebook.

According to the source, there are a growing number of violent crimes involving social media or the Internet, which is used as a tool for child trafficking in Indonesia. At least eight reports released this month, said a young girl was kidnapped and enslaved by a man who approached at random or random Facebook.

This is raising concerns that cases of trafficked children (trafficking) are underestimated for some people. Phys site further explains, the beginning of the crime originated from Facebook friend request by a man who was not known. 14-year-old girl that was later accepted the friend request.

Facebook has become a tool, in which the growth of the user account created networking site Mark Zuckerberg is growing in the country. It is an easy target for the unscrupulous, to launch the crimes.

Reportedly a junior high school student kidnapped a man, then key in the room and raped repeatedly. The victim then told that he would be sent to an island or traded, but he finally released.

A month after the incident, reported there were at least seven other reports of kidnapping of girls by the people they met on Facebook. In addition, 27 of 129 children reported missing this year by the perpetrators who launched the action by making use of Facebook. (FMH)
