TAIPEI - Taiwan plans to build a new generation of mines "smart" that can be planted in the waters. Mines would be a weapon of defense to face the Chinese aggression.

Landmines were not sea mines in general. Taiwan created mines could be planted in very deep waters and in coastal areas. Mines it is very effective to harm the enemy which held amphibious operations to the region of Taiwan.
