Afghanistan Offer Immunity for Troops

KABUL-Afghan President Hamid Karzai, is willing to grant legal immunity to U.S. troops (U.S.) in the country as long as the U.S. would respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan.

Currently the U.S. government is preparing to withdraw about 60 thousand troops in Afghanistan. Withdrawal is scheduled for completion in 2014, but the U.S. plans to keep leaving some troops in Afghanistan to continue to pursue Al-Qaeda group in the country.

"I am willing to grant legal immunity to U.S. troops in Afghanistan, as long as the U.S. to respect sovereignty neagara owned by me," said Karzai.
