According to the Symantec Intelligence Report, scammers use the same way as taking action to other social networks. Spam on Instagram, usually begins with receiving a notification in the comments of an anonymous account and has nothing to do with the photo.
One spam message was "Hi The, Get a FREE Game in my Profile, OPEN it up, Get $ 85.90."
The scammer accounts usually appears as a beautiful woman with thousands of followers, but no one ever posted photos. In addition, the profile of the woman writing the same message as a comment that includes a short URL.
Unlike the scams that exist on a blog, put a link on your profile and not in spam messages. Spam that contains explicit instructions to visit the profile and open the link. This was done because monitoring conducted Instagram URL automatically remove unknown link in a comment.
When the link is clicked, Instagram users will be directed to a mobile premium service that offers funny animal videos for a fee every month. To get the service, users only need to provide a phone number.
