CALIFORNIA - The price factor is suppose to make Windows-based tablet 8/RT tough sell. This was echoed by vendors from Taiwan.

Reporting from DigiTimes, Friday (12/14/2012), the vendors set prices USD685 for Windows 8 tablet with a screen size of 10 inches. The price was much more expensive than the price of Android tablet with the same screen model and is powered by a quad-core processor Nvidia Tegra 3 is only sold at USD275 to USD413.

Meanwhile, some time ago reported that Microsoft partners Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that, Asustek Computers, Dell, and Samsung faces weak sales situation of the tablets and their Windows-based PC.

In addition, sources state that the number of applications available for Windows 8 platform is much less than for iOS and Android.
