Reported by IBTimes, Monday (12/03/2012), hospitals in the New South Wales is the first time involves modern technology. Jillian Skinner, Minister of Health at the local country announced at the weekend that the Royal North Shore Hospital is the first to use the resources to utilize robot as a whole.
"Not only will they help the staff to do their work more efficiently without the risk of a painful injury, (but) they will reduce inadvertent cross-contamination related to the goods during transport," said Skinner with The Big Pond News.
With a total cost of $ 4 million, AGV technology from Germany is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of this month. Generally, AGV technologies used in industrial applications to move materials around the plant facility.
However, AGV applications can also be applied in the hospital. Thus, it can help a patient or a nurse for more efficient transportation. Reportedly, AGV will send and gather approximately 3600 packages of food in a day.
Robot to form a flat vehicle will be placed at the bottom of the trolley (cart) as a means of transportation that is safe, quiet, and efficient. This robot will work without removing the noise, making the stay comfortable for the patient. (FMH)
