Many consider Iniesta should have won the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2012 at the beginning of this week.

6. Frank Rijkaard
As Cristiano Ronaldo Lionel Messi, Frank Rijkaard was always in the shadow of Marco van Basten. Best midfielder of his generation was nominated for the Ballon d'Or 1988 and 1989, the year in which Van Basten won both awards.
7. Dennis Bergkamp
Arsenal and Holland legend. Got a perfect technique and ball control. In the 1992 Ballon d'Or took second place behind Marco van Basten. In the 1993 Ballon d'Or once again occupy the second place, this time under Roberto Baggio. In World Player of the Year 1993 occupied third place, again under Baggio.
8. Paolo Maldini
Legend of the largest AC Milan. Won seven Serie A and the Champions League five. In the 1994 Ballon d'Or third live under Hristo Stoichkov. In World Player of the Year 1995 occupy second behind George Weah.
9. Peter Schmeichel

10. Kenny Dalglish

Often considered the greatest player during the Premier League era. Got a style that no other players. Cantona was once nominated for the Ballon d'Or, which in 1993 occupied the second position while under Roberto Baggio.
12. Ferenc Puskas
The greatest player of all time. Scored 514 of 529 matches in the Hungarian League and Spanish League. Scored 84 goals from 85 matches Hungarian national team. However, usually only once outside the nominated Ballon d'Or 1960. It was lost to Luis Suarez.
