U.S. Urged to Release Photos of Osama bin Laden's Funeral

WASHINGTON - Federal Court of Appeals United States (U.S.) are considering releasing the funeral procession of former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. But the U.S. government has yet to approve it.

Through a process of trial runs on Thursday, the U.S. government found the photos of Bin Laden's too berhaya when released. The photo was also likely to threaten U.S. security.

"They (militants) can use the pictures to trigger tension. They also will be more inspired to launch a counterattack," said a lawyer in the U.S. Department of Justice Robert Loeb, told Al-Arabiya, Friday (11/01/2013).

Judicial Watch legal NGO, commented on the photo saying that the U.S. Intelligence Agency (CIA) did not give a false picture information after Bin Laden emerged. The reason they prohibit the release of the photo based on the Freedom of Information Act.

"The failure of the U.S. government to show evidence of 52 photos of Osama bin Laden could lead to problems," said Judicial Watch attorney Michael Bekesha.

Judge Judith Rogers and Merrick Garland expressed concern at the urging publication of the photograph. Both judges were offensive attack on the U.S. Embassy and consulate offices in the Middle East on 9 September 2012.

The U.S. government never released photos of Saddam Hussein's son's death investigation, Qusay and Uday. Previously, they argue that Iraqis deserve to know, Saddam Hussein's sons were killed. But it does not apply to the case of Bin Laden.

"It is important for all of us, the photo should not be someone who was shot in circulation because it will lead to violence or a propaganda tool," said President Barack Obama, in 2011. (AUL)
