CALIFORNIA - The operating system (OS) popular Microsoft, Windows 7, is starting to show decline in market share. Instead, his successor, Windows 8, it managed to expand its role in the market.
Recent data from web analytics firm, Net Applications, shows that for the first time, Windows 7's market share dropped from 45.11 percent in December 2012 to 44.48 percent in January 2013. While in the same period, Windows 8 sampled 0.58 increased to 2.36 percent market share.
Unfortunately, the growth of the market share of Windows 8 in January, less than in December 2012 were up 0.66 percent. Similarly, as quoted from Neowin, Saturday (02/02/2013).
Other Microsoft OS, a Windows Vista are experiencing a decline in the market. In the period December 2012 to January 2013, Vista's market share fell from 5.67 percent to 5.24 percent.
While XP works become the second most popular OS, reaching 39.51 percent market share rose 0.43 percent from last December. Overall, Windows still dominates the market with 91.71 percent, 7.08 percent next Mac OS, and Linux 1.21 percent.
