Scholarship S-2 vaccinology in Italy

JAKARTA - Faculty of Medicine, University of Siena, Italy, offering scholarships Master (S-2) in the field of vaccinology and clinical pharmacy. The scholarship program titled Master Programme in Vaccinology and Pharmaceutical Clinical Development is a joint Faculty of Medicine, University of Siena, with Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Novartis Vaccines Institute for Global Health (NVGH), and the Advanced Immunization Technologies (Aditec).

Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants, including researchers involved in the development of vaccines funded European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). Participants attending the program will be for one year at the University of Siena and a six-month internship at Novartis. This program will provide those interested in public health and infectious diseases opportunity to study the use of vaccines to prevent the disease, the impact of immunization, vaccine development and the role of stakeholders in policy on vaccines and immunization, studies focusing on developing countries.

The program will also include lectures on the practice of hospital-owned universities and other academic institutions. In addition, participants had the opportunity to practice in various areas of research on vaccines, including experimental vaccine manufacture.

Master Programme in Clinical Vaccinology and Pharmaceutical Development aims to build the capacity of researchers in vaccinology and vaccine development in developing countries. The program prepares students in the prospects of a career in academia, public health and especially in research and development, and institutional private vaccine.

Applicants must be graduates of medical science, particularly medicine with clinical experience in the medical field for a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. Good English skills, in writing or orally, is also a major requirement.
