BlackBerry boss: Tablets Will Die 5 Years After

CALIFORNIA - BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins thinks that the tablet would soon be abandoned as more users are doing business through a smartphone. He considered, smarthphone will be a major resource user computing in the next five years.

According to him, the people will pair anything including screen, keyboard or other accessories that they need to work with smartphones. For many workers, said Heins, the smartphone will be the only device they need.

"I doubt whether the tablet will still be there in the next few years," said Heins, as reported by the Washington Post, Wednesday (05/01/2013).

But Heins admits unclear how the technology will evolve to make the smartphone as the primary computing device for the user. But, he said, the trend toward smarthpone made him think BlackBerry should not rush to the new tablet.

Further disclosure, if the BlackBerry finally has the opportunity to present a new  then the company will not make a clone tablet. He asserted, BlackBerry also never miss certain trends in the industry and is trying to woo back consumers who are frustrated with the user experience problems, such as lack of apps and slow browser on older phones.

"With the Z10 and Q10, BlackBerry started to make phones that appeal to business people as the device is safe and fun," said Heins.

Although the basis for blakberry enterprise market, but the company did not forget the consumer smartphone market is currently dominated by Apple and Samsung. Heins said BlackBerry wants to take market share as much as possible that the company could, without having to create a "better iPhone". Instead, consumers should find themselves BlackBerry.

AMD Launches Quad-Core FX microprocessor "Vishera"
