CALIFORNIA - Apple is increasingly reducing its dependence on Samsung in terms of making processors. Reportedly, the tech giant is now being looked at processor company from Taiwan.

"Apple is working with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TMSC) to make 20 nanometer chips," said Piper Jaffray analyst Gus Richard. Thus quoted from Cnet, Saturday (13/10/2012).

Cnet Another source said that the relationship between Apple and Samsung have continued to deteriorate until they are just looking for a way to fulfill its contractual obligations before making changes.

Apple is likely to use more than one processor makers in the world. Changes like this would have an impact on the customer helped TMSC.

"TMSC has allocated a disproportionate amount to Apple and have pushed out the other customers in this process," said Richard.

This change will not happen overnight. Slowly, they will leave Samsung and lift TMSC. Processors are changing course will also have effects on the device, such as an increase in performance or battery life. (yhw)
