Google boss: Android Beat Apple

CALIFORNIA - Competition Apple iOS and Google Android until now increasingly fierce. Latest, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt said that Android was the winner in the mobile war with Apple.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Schmidt said Google's mobile platform further widen his lead over Apple in the mobile software market. He compared Google is like Microsoft's dominance in desktop business two decades ago.

"This is a great platform changes. This is a scale 20 years ago that Microsoft versus Apple.'s Pretty clear that our winner today," Schmidt said, as quoted from Mashable, Saturday (15/12/2012).

Recent statistics certainly support the optimism Schmidt. According to Gartner, Android dominate 72 percent of the world market share in the third quarter, while Apple is only 14 percent.

Unlike Apple, Google does not make money from hardware, but the company was providing Android as the operating system it could help Google money from advertising. "The main strategy is to make the" pie "bigger," said Schmidt.
