Israel: Chuck Hagel Worth So Defense Secretary

TEL AVIV - Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said, Chuck Hagel is a fair and reasonable to the Minister of Defense of the United States (U.S. Defense Secretary). Ayalon believes, Hagel will deliver the best in the U.S. and Israel.

"I know personally Hagel. When I was Ambassador to Washington, we often present in the meeting. I'm not saying that we always agree on many things, but he is a decent and fair, you could reason with him," said Ayalon as Haartez quoted on Friday (01/11/2013).

"I think he knows enough about the partnership the U.S. and Israel," he added.

Ayalon was quite surprised by the statement skeptical Jewish lobby groups in the U.S.. Since Hagel nominated, many politicians and the U.S. Jewish lobby groups who issued the opinion slant neighbor Hagel. However, it is irrelevant comments directly contradicted by Hagel himself in an interview in one of the newspapers.

Besides Hagel described as a worthy Pentagon chief, participated Ayalon called Hagel as a patriot. Ayalon very optimistic, Hagel can guarantee good relations between the U.S. and Israel.

"When Hagel at the Pentagon, I am sure he will be impressed by the intensity of the U.S. and Israel defense relationship.'s Very important for our country," said Ayalon.

"Hagel is a true American patriot, and he supported the American policy towards Israel. I am very optimistic about this," he said.
