Ibra threatened sanctioned following the incident which involve when PSG met Lyon, 16 December. In a match that finished 1-0 to win the PSG, Ibra accused of intentionally stepping on the head Dejan Lovren.
As a result of the incident, the former AC Milan striker was summoned to a hearing on January 10 to catapult defense. After reviewing the case, the French football authorities (LFP) has decided Ibra was not guilty, because it did not see any foul play in the incident.
"After hearing the alibi of the players and their representatives in the PSG, view reports and review of the video referee, the commission felt Ibra did not do it intentionally. So there is no reason to impose penalties, "the official statement as quoted by Soccerway LFP, Friday (11/01/2013).
This decision instantly provide fresh air for PSG. Because the club Carlo Ancelotti is highly relies on the figure of Ibrahim who had packed 18 goals from 16 games. In fact, not infrequently PSG swallow bad results when the player is absent. (acf)
