Big Ben, London
Big Ben is the name that refers to a clock tower at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London, United Kingdom, and is the second largest clock tower in the world. This clock is located in the northeast of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London.
This clock is very large so that the tower was once used as the largest four-faced clock tower, but the record was finally held by Allen-Bradley Clock Tower in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The architect did not put the bell on the hour so the Big Ben Clock Tower holds the record for the largest four sides with bells.
Many thought Big Ben is the designation for this clock. In fact, they say, if you are constantly calling Big Ben in front of the local police, they are allowed to shoot you!
It is certainly not true. Another thing that is not true is Big Ben did not mention to hours. Big Ben is actually the name of a small bell which lies in it (once the Great Bell). The original name of the clock tower itself is The Elizabeth Tower.
