Peres: Israel Reluctant peace with the Islamic World

TEL AVIV - Israeli President Shimon Peres admitted himself that the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want peace with the Islamic world. Peres said Israel would trigger the occurrence of resistance of Palestine.

"If there is no diplomatic decisions, the Palestinians will return to use acts of terror. Knives, mines, and suicide bombings," Peres said, as quoted by the New York Times, Friday (01/11/2013).

"Tranquility Israel has enjoyed over the past few years will not continue, because the locals do not want any violence. They will continue to be pressured by the Arab world to war, money and weapons will be given to them," he explained.

Peres added that many countries in the world which ultimately branded Israel as a racist state. Peres recalled that, the war between Israel and Palestinian militants would not be stopped.

As head of the state of Israel, Peres less agreed settlement policy was initiated by Netanyahu. According to him, the policy would likely at higher risk for Jewish Affairs for the United States (U.S.) is clearly condemned the policy.

"Of course he (President Barack Obama) demands end residential development projects and he got a negative response. They (Netanyahu) is the party to blame for this settlement activities. President Obama thinking, peace must be made by Israel and the Muslim world. We, the State of Israel, do not think of it at that, "he added.

"We can not lose the support of the United States, which has given strength to the Israel lobby at the international level," said Peres.

Nobel Peace Prize winner was describing Israel as a tree in the middle of the desert, when Israel continues to ignore warnings that the world's top residential projects. Peres believes the U.S. will lose trust with Israel.

89-year-old man was appointed as President of Israel in 2007. Peres is one of the moderate politicians in the Jewish State has never become prime minister.

These statements are very contradictory to Peres that Netanyahu came from the far-right Likud party. However, the role of president in Israel is only symbolic and the president must stay away from party interests.
