DAMASCUS - Damascus Residents can smile right after the snow fall blanketed the city. The residents were not heeding the war was going on and went out into the street to play snowballs.
"For the first time in months I heard laughter and instead bang missile. All the people having fun in the snow, even one soldier snow helped me get the ball, "said Iman, a resident of Damascus.
"It was also the first time since the conflict started I could frolic with my neighbors. No matter whether they are pro-government or opposition, "added Faith, as quoted by Reuters on Friday (11/01/2013).
Residents of other cities in Syria do not want to miss the opportunity to have fun.
"We played late into the night, we did not feel frightened women and children had come to play the snow in the streets," said a resident in the City of Midan.
"The government troops also throw snowballs at us, as more and more come together, the soldier told jokingly, 'oh no do not tell me you want to start a protest'," added the resident who asked not to be named.

"I think the war will not end soon, but this experience allowed me to hope that someday everything will return to normal," said Faith.
